About Us

At FICCIT, we are dedicated to fostering friendships and facilitating dialogue among diverse cultural groups while serving as a pillar of support for the Iranian community at Caltech.

Established in the year 2000, by Shervin Taghavi Larigani, FICCIT has a rich history of organizing engaging events such as Shab-e-Yalda and Nowruz celebrations, as well as actively participating in campus-wide events like the International Food Fair and International Dessert Night, both hosted by the International Student Program (ISP).

Our current board, led by Golsa Gheibi as President, Mohamadamin Panahandeh as Vice-President, and Dr. Mehdi Taheri as Treasurer, is committed to upholding FICCIT's legacy of cultural enrichment and community engagement. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to past board members whose dedication has shaped FICCIT into what it is today.

FICCIT events are made possible through the generous support of various organizations, including Farhang Foundation, Caltech Office of Student and Family Engagement (SFE), Graduate Student Council (GSC), Caltech Postdoc Association (CPA), Moore-Hufstedler Fund (MHF), Caltech Center for Inclusion and Diversity (CCID), Caltech Y, and the International Student Program (ISP).
